About me

If you’re checking social media, you may notice I’m only active on LinkedIn. I took a break from other platforms in 2020 … and never came back. While I keep up with social media trends professionally, I’m living my personal life off-platform for now. If you want to know more about me personally, read on:

  • I’m happy to drop everything to talk about what you’re reading. My favorite genre is YA fiction. A few recent favorites are Yellow 1793 by Laurie Halsie Anderson, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and White Women by Regina Jackson and Saira Rao.

  • I’m always looking for Podcast recommendations. Right now in heavy rotation for me are ‘What Now? with Trevor Noah,’ ‘Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso,’ ‘Articles of Interest’ and ‘It’s Been a Minute.'

  • Running plays a big role in my life. I’m a former Girls on the Run coach, a member of the Mill City Running Race Team and seek out group runs when I travel to new cities. I’m looking forward to running the Twin Cities Marathon this fall - it will be my first!

  • Beyoncé’s Renaissance show in Minneapolis was a highlight of my summer. (So was finding a gold, hand-beaded, vintage dress for $25!)

  • I keep a finger on the pulse as a member of a NextUp committee and by attending events like the Brand Lab Fearless Conference, Creative Mornings and the Great Northern Festival’s Climate Speaks series.

  • My family & I like to attend live sporting events, mostly for the game but also for the food.

  • One of my creative outlets is sewing - jackets, joggers and one day I’ll finish the linen blazer that’s teaching me many new skills. I recently saw Nicole Crowder speak and am lusting after her upholstery retreat to learn a new skill.

  • I’ve never felt more alive than after plunging into Lake Nokomis with coworkers this past March at the Polar Plunge!
